Painter, sculptor, photographer, and workshop instructor( art therapy ). Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Waseda University majoring in Economics. Worked for a record company. Worked as a freelance journalist. Moved to California. Obtained MBA from Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey in 1990. Product Manager at Cartier Japan. Worked as an interpreter and translator between Japanese and English including bilingual voice-over for CNN News etc.
Moved to New York City in 1999. Being inspired by the magical beauty of Manhattan, she started painting one day and got over neurotic depression. Was admitted by Pratt Institute in 2003 majoring in painting. In 2005, graduated with the Highest Honours. Returned to Japan, held 2 one-man-shows in Tokyo in 2005. Moved to Hong Kong in 2009. Was engaged in painting, photography, and participating in group shows and one-man-shows, and also organized charity art events for the American Women’s Association of Hong Kong as a Co-chair of its Art Lovers group for ten years. Won an award from Asia Society Hong Kong Centre on her painting in 2020.
Moved to Singapore in August, 2020 and studied Art Therapy at Lasalle College of the Arts for 3 months. Due to a family issue, she returned to Hong Kong mid-January, 2021. Finally moved back to Singapore in April, 2021. Joined Women Artists Association(WAA) in September, 2023. Held an one-man-show as a part of Singapore Art Week(SAW) in January and February, 2024. Contributed an article about the Singapore art scene to the March issue of the monthly magazine of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Took part in a charity group exhibition by Lions Club at Asian Civilisations Museum in March, 2024. Participated in a group show as a member of WAA at Tokyo Metropolitan Art Museum in May, 2024. Several one-man and group shows in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Won several awards on her painting and photographs.
